Can you see the eagles? Or maybe they are Quetzelles. There is a small one on the bottom row, then 2 large ones in the middle.

This is a pattern of slip stitches I found on Kody May's blog. It is the garter stitch version. She also posts a stickinette version which I can't wait to try. This is a much quicker and easier method of patterned knitting than normal intarsia. I was done in a couple hours flat-- and ow that I have the technique down, I think I could do it better next time.
