Lake Osakis

Here is a photo of my brother Dave and his wife Pam at sunset on Lake Osakis. I believe it is their first VIP appearance. Dad and I went to visit their "cabin" for a v
ery pleasant and relaxing weekend. The food was a TEN. Grilled steak on the first night and deep fried turkey breast and Pam's green onion spuds the second. It was my first taste of food from those new friers that can cook a whole turkey. I was amazed. I had been assured that the meat would be moist and tender and not at all greasy. It was all of that and more. The taste and texture were beyond yummy.

I have been working on a sweater titled "Helena" fr
om the Summer 2008 Knitty using superwash wool from Pakistan. It is a rather loud emerald green. The pattern has some unusual details but has been fun. Here is the back before I began the sleeves. Note the pretty picot hem. Now I am off to have some supper. Have a great week. Noanie
