Chinese Color

I ordered a few different hanks of yarn from Hong Kong... 100 % wool and free shipping. I expected this one to be varigated pinks, but it turned out to be several variations of watermelon! Anyway, I started the 1929 McCall's sweater that Grandma Helene liked to make-- and I think it will be cute. I will also have to try felting this yarn (on another project.)

I gave Helena to my boss's first grandchild, Ellie. She weighed in at nearly 11 pounds so I think she will make use of the larger size. It was one of my favorite patterns so far, so I hope she will wear it a lot.

This week I am headed for the lake in Wisconsin, just beyond Duluth. It will be a long drive but I am excited to see Nick and Nicole, and Nick's parents. My 8 day work stretch has seemed long-- and today is supposed to be 95 degrees-- so I must try to latch the door tightly so Lucy won't open it and heat up the house. I want to go get my oil changed this afternoon. Grace and Jake will watch the mutts. God Bless special friends.
Hope you'll all have a wonderful 4th of July. God Bless the USA... Noanie
