Ravelry calls them "UFOs" un-finished-objects. Lately I've felt like I've had a dozen irons in the fire-- and no one project complete. So tonite I am going to show you two "almosts" with the promise to myself that I will sub in completed pix by the weekend. The first is Nicole's chain link sweater. I completed the top of the left shoulder tonite using a 3 needle bind-off. However, I neglected to match the decorative stitch on the edge of the sleeve as it goes over the shoulder. I am ONE stitch over. Since Nicole is pretty short, I figure someone MIGHT notice it sometime when she was sitting-- so it is getting redone. Then the decorative neck rows and voila!
Also putting up for inspection, the watermelon sweater. I did run a little short of yarn and was unable to do the hem rows on the hood- or the ties. Haven't quite decided what to do...Grandma Helene used seam tape when she was short on a hem-- but I can't imagine what it would take to match this unusual color. However, I WILL make a decision and finish it as well.
The livingroom is a plethora of beautiful yarns right now, as I've bought a few tons on e-bay and at on-line closeouts. The way the economy is going-- I may have to knit all my clothes for winter. ... and of course there will be little "Mario" by winter's end. So I will prevail. These projects will be completed in record time. XOXO Noanie-Mom
