Icelandic Cousins

Happy Birthday to Fritz !

Here is a cute picture of my cousin's grandson, Kristjan on a pontoon ride on Gull lake on Monday. We gathered about 100 people from 4 generations of Icelanders this week. We had updated pictures and geneology graphs, excellent food, pictures, music, golf,tennis and more. It was wonderful to get reaquainted with cousins who had been close childhood friends and share tales of our own kids and grandkids. Special thanks to Sigrid for the arrangement details, and to Dave and Uncle John for taking and sharing great family pictures. Here are a couple more.


The first is a group we fondly called the "old guard." It includes siblings and spouses, and cousin Don. They range in age from 75 to 82 years.
The second is a picture with my new special cousin Jane. She is from Texas and has been to Africa to help women get started in business and industry. She is pretty, smart and very aware of our need to share what we've been given.
