Love is in the Air

Happy Valentine's Day to all my friends in Blogland!

It is a crisp, sunny day in the Dakotas. Tonite is the God's Child Valentine's Day dinner, dance and silent auction. The auction is always fun, featuring every imaginable prize. Last year I won a year's supply of home baked doggie treats (which my doggies devoured in about 3 months.) This year is featuring "Items from Foreign Countries." There will also be a band. I wonder what is the possibility of getting John to dance??
On the knitting front, I have reached a snag in the Blueberry Pie Sweater. I started with 4 oz of hand dyed yarn from Martha's Vineyard Fibers. It should have been plenty of yarn-- but I must be making a slightly larger size than whoever
measured..... and I am out! I have sent away to Susie for a second hank-- and normally she is quick about sending it. Here is a photo so you can see that there has been progress. In the meantime, I am working on Nicole's lettuce sweater. I am finishing the waist shaping at the moment. When I start the pretty Brioche stitch lower part, I will take a photo.
Tomorrow, Andre is coming over to babysit Grandma so I had better get everything important done today. I believe I will start with making a cup of Valentine's Day tea.
Love to all, Noanie
