An Animal Roll

I am in "animania" this week. After dressing Shaggy in his hot dog coat, I tackled Miss Mousie tonite, mostly to see how hard it is. The body was done in less than 1 tv show and the ears and tail were about 20 min more. The sample "Mousie" was multi-yellow-- so mine doesn't seem as cutesie. Maybe I will have to whip him up a friend tomorrow.

Also finished another quickie project yesterday. Last weekend I had started an earwarmer for Grace using a "braided" cable pattern. It is fuzzy and very thick-- so I made some fingerless mitts and incorporated the same "braid" on the back of each hand and now it is a cute set.
Personally, I like the colors. I hope Gracie does too.
Other than that, November in No. Dak. has had nicer weather than October. So far we've had sunny days and crisp nights, but without wind or snow. Today was the ND State Holiday, also recognized as the opening day of deer hunting season. I recall last year, we'd had several snowstorms already and hunters were concerned with getting to their deer and getting back out. Yesterday, my friend John was scurrying to find some ice because temps in the 60's were not expected to be cool enough to keep a deer from spoiling for a day or two. I guess that is part of the chase-- adapting to the conditions you cannot change. In fact, I think that is really life-- to cope with, and even make the most of, those things you cannot change.
Have a great week in Blogland. Noanie
