Last Pair

Here is a finished mitt from my last Olympic pair. I did not finish in time for a medal-- but then again, it wouldn't be a competition is everybody won. The real Olympics were great. I am proud to be both American and Icelandic!

Hard to believe a week has gone by since I posted. I worked 9 nights and they each seemed to have their challenges. I really need to dial back to 8 hour shifts though. 12 and 14 hour stretches wipe me out and I don't feel I am giving it my best... something which is simply not safe.I was unhappy about the outcomes of several things and came home rather blue. I am thankful to my hospital friends who continually hold me up.

Andre is here today (my request) and then he'll be going to Grandma Geneva's for the long weekend. He chatters up a storm and I take delight in each and every word. We need to run some errands soon--I have pkgs to mail for Marty's and Carrie's birthdays-- plus a few household things which get neglected during the time I only work and sleep.
