A Time in September--- I wonder if I am in the September of my life? Today was a rainy, gray day, but a relief from a very hot Sat and Sun. As Labor Days go, it seemed quiet.
Around 4 PM I did get a visitor who made the day very memorable. Miss Elle Jo arrived with bright blue eyes and a ready smile. She liked me and was very interested in the dogs. She tried on her new sweater from Aunt Noanie, then also tried on her cousin Anne's. Both looked outstanding on her. Maybe they should hire her out as a baby model?? Here are the pix.

There actually was one more notable event today. Just as the morning thunder and lightening subsided, a very drenched baby eagle landed on my garage. It preened and shook for quite a while, drying itself off. Finally it spread it's wings, showing it's beautiful white underside and a wingspan like my arms... and effortlessly
rose. Of course I took a picture of him too. It is grainy since it is through the window. We see eagles at times along the Missouri River, but they rarely come this far into the city. I think this "little" one just got caught in the storm. Eagles are a good omen in Indian folklore-- so to all of you: Have a great week and a September to remember. XOXO Noanie
