A Tiny Girl in a plaid dress

What happened to that little girl in a red plaid dress, tippy toeing around and under and through everything? That same one that potty trained herself so her chickenpox wouldn't get wet. The one who rode a fire truck to school after winning a coloring contest, proudly wearing a jumper I'd sewn the night before.
The little girl who made VARSITY soccer as a freshman, danced in Saintiques, wore sparkly dresses, velvet dresses, and tap shoes. She painted her own bedroom and made up her own mind on anything and everything. The girl who wanted to major in genetics as an undergrad-- and did... who decided she was going to grad school... and did.

I believe she graduated last Saturday with a Masters in Genetic Counseling Degree from University of Arkansas Medical Center. MY own little girl. My own ADULT daughter. A kind and caring adult, a helpful and courteous person. My God, that really went fast. Thank you for the special honor of being her mother.
