Mahayana Flying Mitts with Headband

Here is a picture of the Mahayana Flying Mitts and a headwarmer I made to match. I really love how this stitch shows off the colors in the pattern. I am thinking of making Nicole a pair of the mitts to match the butterfly stitch hat. I was purusing the finished Mahayana projects on Ravelry to see how it came out in a solid color. While the varigated yarn gives a great lattice effect, the solid yarn makes for very interesting texture. The Mahayana pattern actually has longer (latticed) cuffs-- so maybe I will try that as well.
