When I arrived home this morning, chatting with Nicole on the phone, I glanced out the patio doors and exclaimed, "OMG ! There's a bobcat in my yard !" Nicole was really startled and immediately thought I should call Animal Control or the Police or both.
Here is a "Bobcat" as defined by Nicole.
Now I admit, that is a pretty common conception of a Bobcat. However, those of us who have lived in No Dak for ages know that we have a very large "Bobcat" manufacturing plant right here in Bismarck. They make "Bobcat" skid loaders and excavators and all the attachments. We use Bobcats to move dirt, snow, sand-- to dig ditches and holes-- and to reach high in the trees. Here is what I thought when I said Bobcat:
So the point of the lesson is to "consider the source."
For today, here is a picture of what I actually saw in my backyard. The crew was beginning my new sunroom, so I was delighted to see this particular version. More pix of this project will certainly follow. XOXOXOXO Noanie
