Broken WIng

Mar 6, 2009 Marty's half day
It would seem like this R and R period ought to be perfect for a few small knitting projects.... except Murphy got to the bank ahead of me. Here is a starter pic of a slouchy hat (tam) that I started
as a quickie project. It is not even half done after TWO weeks. My operated arm gets soooo very tired that progress is made in tiny fits and starts. I tried switching to this garter stitch moccasin thinking maybe smaller is better.. but I finished one (finally) and it has also joined the work in progress detail. So exactly WHAT have I been doing????

Well, sleeping is good.. napping.. showering.. napping... eating.. watching t.v. And one other thing!

Reading is good! I received this marvelous book from Fritz and Carol and family-- and it has been a show stopper. It is about a Greek family of physicians, several of whom with Aspergers or other traits on the autistic spectrum. Both the story and the characters are great. I am searching my memory for the persons in my life who did not seen to "fit in." Some were bright, nerdish, or loners. Some (like me !) had a great recollection for dates. Very thought provoking. I will be a long time thinking of this tale!

Hope you are all well in blogland ! Perhaps I should write a guide for what to do with extended medical leave from work.. Stay tuned. Noanie
