Dr Nicholas Mattila

It was a life changing event.. awesome, tearful, and very exciting. Nicole's soon to be husband, Nick graduated from University of Minnesota with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Here is a picture of him with his parents Glenda and Rick and his sister Brook.

This one is a picture of Nick with his grandpa Ron, and Nicole. Nicole was sick that day but joined the party for a few minutes. My sisters Janine and Ruth hosted the reception with a great meal of tacos, fruit and U of Minnesota cake. Nick is off to a new job in Sioux Falls, SD. It sounds like a fun practice, rural folk with varied needs. They are in the process of buying a house and finishing up with wedding plans for next October. Nicole is enjoying her work as a genetics counselor at Alerus Medical Center in Sioux Falls.I am really proud of these kids... they have worked hard and done well.

In Bismarck things are finally green and the trees are blooming. If the apple tree produces an apple for every flower, I am in trouble. The grass seed is finally up and starting to look like a lawn. I actually enjoy watching the sprinklers arc over the baby grass. I suppose the novelty will wear off soon.

Have a good week in Blogland. Love to all, Noanie
