Where are the May Flowers?

Yesterday morning I came out from work to find about 3 inches of heavy, wet white stuff on my car.  Then, intermittantly throughout the day, we had rain, sleet, snow, and what looked like little hail balls jumping around. Bonnie loved it as you see above, but I was pretty exasperated. I had hoped we were done with this. I want to plant some bushes, trees and grass-- to have a pretty yard to look at as I gaze out my new sunroom windows.. to see leaves and flowers..

Here is this week's progress on the shrug. In a few more rows, it will be time to start the collar. I like how it is "shaping up." Now I am scouting for cool buttons.

On a sadder note, I would like to pay tribute to a very special friend. Laurie Trusty, a pharmacist, mom, and amazingly generous person, who died on May 1st at home. She was 56 years young. I had known Laurie since I went to work at MC1-- almost 24 years. My kids often had 4th of July fireworks at her house south of town, and we always left with tons of fresh produce and sweet treats. Lord, please welcome her to Your heavenly home.

Have a great week in Blogland. Noanie
